Nutrients
of Worship (N.O.W.)
As God's
children, our worship should be lived out!
These
scriptures are much needed vitamins and nutrients to aid our healthy walk
with Christ. They provide strength, encouragement, conviction and
direction for our spiritual lives.

“Do not love the
world or any thing in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love
of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world- the cravings
of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and
does comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and
its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”
I John 2:15-17
It’s
so easy to get caught up in the modes of transportation. So much
so we lose the very value of the ability we were fashioned for, which is
walking. It’s amazing what God can say to you when you are doing
things His way. And it’s also pretty amazing how something we consider
normal (driving) can be a distraction from communicating with God.
Just
yesterday I decided to take a walk, and during that walk, I was able to
observe the beauty of His Creation all around me. I was able to thank
God for being able to breathe and have the endurance to walk. I was
able to smile at the beauty that our Father in Heaven created for us.
I am not saying that it's wrong to drive at all, however, I am saying it’s
easy for us to get used to and love the normality's of the world.
We miss so many blessings and lessons when we forget to crave and desire
those things that are good.
This
world and all its bells and whistles, so to speak, will pass. But
God shall reign forever! The Apostle John was speaking to members
of the church in Asia Minor; he was encouraging them to continue walking
with Christ and his teachings, and not to give in to the false beliefs
and sinful lifestyles. This still applies to us all today.
Lets make sure that our passion and desires are on those things that are
Eternal and not on things that are temporary.
Walk
in the Light,
