Nutrients of Worship (N.O.W.)
As God's children, our worship should be lived out!
These scriptures are much needed vitamins and nutrients to aid our healthy walk with Christ.  They provide strength, encouragement, conviction and direction for our spiritual lives.

Philippians 3:12-16
"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.  All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained."

Certainly you may have walked out of service, smiling as if you just had it all together.  Or maybe after a power-hour devotional, you got up and walked away just certain that “it’s all in the bag”, so to speak.  Please do not misunderstand when I say this: having the assurance that the blood covers you is great; but having the pride of knowledge knowing that you are ahead of the game or perfect is not healthy!

In the passage above, Paul was speaking to remind us that it's not that he has it all together and it’s not that he is good.  Paul was forever striving to be like Christ so that he could continue to please God and gain all that God has for him.  There is always more in God; there is always a deeper praise, worship, devotional, prayer, etc.

Be careful not to get caught up in the precious moments too long, for what we are to bask and boast in is Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.  He has freely given us Salvation!  Let us move on in Him knowing the best is yet to come.

Love,

Reco
