Nutrients
of Worship (N.O.W.)
As God's
children, our worship should be lived out!
These
scriptures are much needed vitamins and nutrients to aid our healthy walk
with Christ. They provide strength, encouragement, conviction and
direction for our spiritual lives.

Psalm
139: 1-4 “O Lord thou hast searched me and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting
and my uprising, thou understandeth my thoughts afar off. Thou compassesth
my path and my lying down, and art aquainted with all my ways. For there
is not a word in my tongue, but lo, O Lord, thou knowest it all together.”
Recently
I found an old patch in my jewelry box that has to be at least thirty years
old; it said “Don’t follow me, I’m lost too.” As I looked at the
patch and remembered some crazy days from my youth, I thought how true
that patch was for me at that particular time in my life. I was truly
lost and I hope that no one followed me, thinking I was any kind of an
example of what a Christian was supposed to be; I generally followed every
trend around me to be cool and be part of my little crowd no matter how
wrong it was. Today there are so many following people they think to be
Christians. They think someone is an example of what a Christian
is supposed to be and they follow blindly. The fact is some of these leaders
should have a patch, or better yet a big sign, saying, "Don't Follow Me-
I'm Lost Too".
Instead
of following a person, our first priority should be to follow Jesus Christ.
After you find Him and learn to follow Him, you can find others who are
truly following Christ to guide you and help you grow as a Christian.
After you have learned to follow, learn to be a leader. If
you profess to be a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ, make sure that
the life you live will show others that you are not lost. The life
you lead should be as a sign saying, "Follow me, I know where I am going,
I once was lost but now I'm found. Let me show you the
way to the one who found me; Jesus Christ".
Be
the kind of holy example to others that Jesus would be proud of.
Your life should tell others, “follow me to Jesus Christ”.
