Nutrients
of Worship (N.O.W.)
As God's
children, our worship should be lived out!
These
scriptures are much needed vitamins and nutrients to aid our healthy walk
with Christ. They provide strength, encouragement, conviction and
direction for our spiritual lives.

Job
42:16 "And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for
his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before."
In studying
Job, I found the above verse. "...When he prayed for his friends"
jumped out at me. I have found this to be true in my life personally. There
are times when I become discouraged and think God isn't hearing my prayers.
I begin to feel a little sorry for myself and wonder what's the use.
As my own problems, either mine, or those of my immediate family, seem
overwhelming, I stop and pray for someone else: a friend, an enemy, the
clerk at Wal-Mart, or the hitchhiker on the highway.
I have
found when I take the time to pray for someone else, God answers the prayers
I have been praying for my family or myself. Not only does
He answer, He usually grants more than I asked, more than what I lost in
the first place, just as He did for Job. Remember to pray for your
friends, enemies, and strangers as well. As you pray for these the
release from your captivity can be granted. All you have lost can
be restored to twice as great as when it was lost.
