Nutrients
of Worship (N.O.W.)
As God's
children, our worship should be lived out!
These
scriptures are much needed vitamins and nutrients to aid our healthy
walk
with Christ. They provide strength, encouragement, conviction and
direction for our spiritual lives.

Junior Writer, Chelsea Whitaker
“For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that
whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal
life.” John 3:16
What
would you like better, your coolest relative to stop by, quickly hand
you a gift and leave, or would you like that same relative to stop by
and spend a bunch of time with you, just hanging out. How would
you like both? The Lord gave us the gift of salvation. He
saved us from our sins so we would not have to go to hell. John
3:16 justifies this. Not only did the Lord give us this awesome
gift, He is willing to spend every moment with us. The Lord is
always available.
After
reading Deuteronomy 1:1-3:20, Max Lucado states how the Lord
demonstrates His faithfulness to the Israelites by providing them with
land, leaders and His law. Max Lucado goes on to say, “the Lord’s
mercies never cease. The Lord’s compassion never fails and His
faithfulness never diminishes. The Lord stays near us when we
crave Him and He stays near us when we rebel against Him. The
Lord is awesome, the Lord gives us great gifts and is always willing to
be available to us.” So why aren’t we as willing to spend time
with Him, in His word? He is greater than any cool
relative. He died for us. I don’t know many of my relatives
who would die for me. I don’t know if I could die for
anyone. How much time have you been spending with your Savior?
