Nutrients
of Worship (N.O.W.)
As God's
children, our worship should be lived out!
These
scriptures are much needed vitamins and nutrients to aid our healthy walk
with Christ. They provide strength, encouragement, conviction and
direction for our spiritual lives.

Luke
9:49-50 "Master", said John, "we saw a man driving out demons in
your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us." "Do not
stop him, " Jesus said, "for whoever is not against you is for you."
Christians
spend an awful lot of time arguing and accusing each other on views of
scripture. We are guilty of tearing down those who are like minded
more than building them up. And often we swallow the notion that
our interpretation is full proof/without flaw - therefore we then become
the standard due to our knowledge of God (so we think).
The
disciples were quarreling amongst themselves wondering which would be known
as "Mr. Big." While they were trying to figure out which one would
be the greatest, they encountered a man trying to drive a demon out of
someone in the name of Jesus, and they tried to stop this. Does this
sound familiar? It's sad, but yet this lesson is still not learned
today. Look at the many different congregations or divisions of Christians
today. If we're honest, it's possible that it's because we either
wanted to be more than the next follower, or we wanted to see them as someone
not worthy to carry our abilities/understanding.
Thank
God for a Savior who replied so direct, "if anyone is not against you,
he is for you!" We must learn to build each other up and know that God
loves us all the same, and He has a path and purpose for us all.
Be careful not to be concerned with what you're supposed to be doing
(who you are) in life and be more concerned with the One (God) who gave
and gives you life. For when we do this, we discover peace, prayer,
and praise. It's a privilege to see others raising the banner of
Christ, let's encourage one another more.
It's
all about and because of Jesus,
