“What
a Day”
What
a day…
Day
1- Struggle – struggle… VICTORY
Day
2 – “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
BOOM! Struggle-struggle-recognize His Truth. He is with me always…I
am in Him and He is in me. Look at the bigger picture. In His presence
I find peace. VICTORY
Day
3 – Woke up with a headache…showered…said, “Lord, if we’re going to be
in the ball park today, You gotta’ take over this body, guard this mind,
keep me Lord, don’t let me go!” and He did and does. VICTORY
Day
4 – Beautiful day. Showered. Went to work. “Lord, I’m available if You
need me somewhere to do your bidding.” Enjoyed the day. All is good with
the world. VICTORY
Day
5 – Not a good day at all. Grief. Loneliness. Yet God you were there. VICTORY
And
on and on…
Whatever
the day brings, God is there! Thanks be to Jesus He’s in the ‘taken care’
of us business when it comes to living as he asked. Loving and doing good.
(observe the past tense of ‘taken care’) HE was victorious at the cross!
I can live according to that truth no matter what the day brings.
In
Titus 3:1-8 It really says it all…what we were…what we are…to devote ourselves
to doing good. We are not alone people. Look…Listen!!!
“when
the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because
of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved
us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom
He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,
so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become
heirs having the hope of eternal life.”
Oh,
what a God we serve. What a God we hope in. What a God who dwells within
each of us. He touched all the bases. He cleaned it all. He washed it all
away. Our sin—our depravity—our foolishness…gone because of His mercy.
There
isn’t a ‘good’ thing you can do to merit the hope of eternal life. Nope.
Not a thing. Nothing. Nil. You can’t earn it. You can’t work sin off. There
is no community service here. Nope. Your role is to believe and receive
this Truth. His Son, Jesus Christ. That’s it. Only Believe.
I
love you my friends…allow that generous washing and renewal of the Holy
Spirit to cleanse you today anew. Pure before our Father in Heaven. Set
apart. Chosen by Him. He loves you so.
