“My
Daily Prayer”
Today
I’ve been called to sacrifice. Oh Lord, I don’t want to do this. I want
my time and my space. However, I quickly said yes and now I serve.
Lord,
help me through the days. Let them be full of you at work where I can see.
If you want me to be your hands…take my hands Lord and move them to the
ones that need Your touch. Lord, if it be my smile…fill me with your joy
so I can show approval and acceptance to those You have placed in my life
for this short time. My time.
Lord,
if it be my feet, let me walk with them and go to them when they need my
help or the assurance of Your presence. Lord, if it be my voice…open my
mouth to speak of You and Your love for them.
Lord,
I want my time and space back to myself. For now, I give it to You to be
used by You to do your work in the lives of those You have placed in my
life.
“If
I have not love then I am a clanging cymbal. Love is patient, love is kind.”…Do
I live the words I quote so freely.
It’s
so much easier to speak words to others than to kneel before You Lord and
speak words to You about others. Lord, bend my knee to intercess for these
ones you’ve placed in my life for this short time.
I
long for rest dear Lord. For now, I serve.
