What Kind of
God?
written
by

I know a man who says
'There is no God'.
Since I believe that there
is
He thinks that I'm odd.
He asked me, 'What kind
of God
would allow such pain and
such sorrow?'
I replied, 'The same God
that offers
a brighter tomorrow.'
He asked, 'What kind of
god would
allow conflicts and wars?'
I said, 'The same God that
created
the moon and the stars.'
'What kind of god allows
destruction and death?'
'The same God that gives
you
your very breath.'
'What kind of god would
allow
all of this stress and
this strain?'
'The same God that created
the sun and the rain.'
'What kind of god would
allow my young child to
die?'
'The same God that wanted
her there by His side.'
I thought
(Before she could grow
up,
with your point of view,
And believe that there
isn't a God,
just like you do.)
But I wasn't trying to start
up a fight,
I was just hoping to set
this man right.
If it's God's will, I hope
He'll show me the way,
So this man may again see
his daughter one day.
