C ruelity abounded
that day long ago.
R eality fulfilled
prophecy as your blood began to flow..
U nderneath a sky,
that blackened about noon that day,
C hrist, you hanging
high on that tree, had nothing to say.
I n all your
pain and suffering you hung there ever brave.
F or you knew all
of humanity you had to save.
I n your final
moments you called to God above,
E nduring all this
agony was the ultimate act of love.
D eclaring it is finished,
you let your spirit soar,
You fulfilled every prophecy spoken long before.
H eaviness filled
Mary Magdelene's heart early that morn,
E very good thing,
seemingly, from her life had been torn.
I nside the
tomb lay linen of white,
S he couldn't understand,
her Lord's body was nowhere in sight.
R ightly so, she was
very sad and confused,
I nside once
lay Jesus' body, beaten and bruised.
S uddenly angels appeared
where the body once lay at the foot and the head,
E xalt the name of
your Lord Jesus, He isn't dead!
N ow appeared Jesus
and asked, "Mary what are you weeping for?".
Go tell all, I have risen with my Father, to live forever more.
