Once I walked the path beside of You
Until temptation started getting through
And I chose to take a different route.

Since I turned from you that day
It seems that I have lost my way
Now a cry for help to you I pray.

Since that day I left your side
Nothing Lord is going right.
My sight has grown dim, with no Son-light.

There is no place I can’t be found
So help me Lord to turn around
And get off this trail I’ve traveled down.

Help me Lord to end this strife
Show me the purpose of my life.
