If I claimed to be “a perfect Christian”,

That should prove to you I’m not.

There are things that I still do

Which I am sure do not please God.

I’m not the only one with questions.

I’m not the only one that falls.

When I write about my doubt and sin

I’m writing for us all.

We all should seek His guidance,

We all should ask for help

Because we’re only human

And humans can be frail.

I have un-metered prayers.

I just keep them to myself

And they are more in touch with God

Than the ones that fill my shelf

Although I have started up the mountain

There are some still scared to claim.

I’m trying to reach out to them

That’s the reason for my rhymes.
