We all have a spiritual story to share. As we share stories of how God is moving in our lives, we relate those stories back to the life of Jesus Christ. We understand more and more the importance of choosing to know Jesus more as a way of getting through whatever we are doing and wherever we are going. Jesus patiently makes us aware of His presence and His call on our lives. It is important to share stories of our life experiences: encouraging one another; listening to one another; sitting together and enjoying the company of one another without distractions, without busyness, without our everyday worries and stresses, and without being rushed. Sometimes in life, we need the encouragement, spiritual wisdom and insight of our friends to help us get back or stay on track with the direction that God is leading us. God's fountain of grace is like refreshing waters. Sharing our stories is a way of worshipping God; stories open our eyes to see how God works and speaks to others. Those same stories help us learn more about God and grow closer to Him. When we open our lives and share our ups and downs with others, we share God's goodness, grace, forgiveness, and love with them in a way that touches their hearts and spirits. These are the kind of relationships that are truly bonded together in Christ. Dragonfly Ministries invites you to attend our Girlfriend Getaway designed to give you and your friends a chance to rest, relax and refresh your spirit by sharing your own story and listening to stories from other women of how God has worked in their lives to bring about change. (Sharing is optional but listening is a must.) Cost is $135 per person and includes 2 nights lodging and 4 meals. Please enjoy dinner on your drive to Door County. Plan to arrive at Camp Zion anytime between 5 and 10 p.m. on Friday evening. The staff at Camp Zion will prepare delicious meals for us and will have beverages available during the weekend event. We will enjoy three meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday; departure will be anytime on Sunday after 10 a.m. so that you can enjoy the Ellison Bay tourist shops before heading home. Lodging consists of modern dormitory style rooms with bunk beds and semi-private bathrooms. If you desire either a top or bottom bunk, please let us know so that we can make sure to "save your spot". Camp Zion has a spectacular scenery, limestone bluffs, spacious bays, and beautiful sunsets, with an intimate atmosphere and a caring staff. We will have a wonderful and relaxing time with the Lord and with one another. Once your registration and $50.00 deposit has been received, we will mail additional information which includes a list of "what to bring", directions, and a schedule of events. Carpooling is available; contact Cate at (847) 354-0778 to sign up for ride-share. * Invite your sister, friend, mother, church member, co-worker or organize a group from your church, neighborhood or workplace. Come prepared to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the changing of the seasons. * Camp Zion sits on the edge of Green Bay, and a 30 minute hike will take you to the peak where Green Bay and Lake Michigan join - time will be set aside for enjoying nature!
