Kelly Willie is one of Maryland’s most talented Christian singers, songwriters and performers.  She was voted by the Gospel Music Association as first runner-up for CCM Songwriter of the year at their regional competition held in Washington, D.C., and has had the privilege of recording in Nashville with the same musicians who travel with the top names in the Contemporary Christian Music scene today.

Her songs have been heard around the world, from her own backyard of Maryland to as far away as Indonesia and South Africa.

A young couple mourning the death of their four-year-old daughter told Kelly how her song, “I Can Fly”, brought encouragement to their hearts.  At a prison in Philadelphia, Kelly held the hand of a 65-year-old inmate who gets his prison buddies to huddle around an old tape player and listen to Kelly’s music – they call it “having church”!  A man with a terminal brain tumor told Kelly how her music has lifted him in his most difficult moments.  And even young moms have said to Kelly that you don’t have to be in a crisis to be impacted by music.  Sometimes, when the ordinary and mundane get the better of us, music provides the perspective to help us through.

It is Kelly’s hope and prayer that her songs may act as a balm for some of life’s hardships and a respite from the daily grind. All of her music and messages point to Jesus Christ, the true lover of our souls.
